Background

The club has been active for over 20 years. It was founded by former employees of Bristol & West Building Society, who wanted to get fit, have fun and play competitive netball. In 2007 the Club merged with the like-minded club, Blackthorn, which was largely made up of employees from Bond Pearce Solicitors in Bristol. Since then the membership of the Club has diversified, and, whilst the Club maintains its strong name and heritage, its players and coaches work in various industries across the full geography of Bristol and beyond. 

• The mission of the Club is to provide a fun, vibrant and competitive atmosphere where members of all ages and backgrounds can play and be involved in netball.
• Bristol & West has three teams in the Avon Netball League. Our A Team play in Division 3, the B Team in Division 4 and the C Team in Division 8 (potentially soon to be two teams in Division 3 and one team in Division 7!). • We have an amazing coach Kat, who’s level 2 qualified and brill level 1 assistant coach Rachel Williams.
• The Club develops its players, and a number of members have successfully completed the England Netball Coaching and Umpiring qualifications.
